Overview

The eTendering System is a comprehensive digital procurement platform designed to automate the complete tendering lifecycle, from supplier registration and tender publication through bid submission, evaluation, award, and purchase order processing.

The solution has been developed to support the procurement practices of organizations in Oman and has been customized and implemented for multiple organizations based on their internal tendering policies and approval processes.

Business Need

Many organizations relied heavily on manual tendering processes involving physical supplier registration, printed tender documents, hard-copy bid submissions, manual clarifications, evaluations, approvals, and award procedures.

The requirement was to digitize and centralize the complete tendering process, reduce manual effort, improve transparency, strengthen governance, and provide suppliers with a secure online platform for participating in tenders.

Solution

A fully integrated eTendering platform was developed to manage the entire procurement workflow online.

The system supports supplier registration and approval, Tender/RFP creation, tender purchase, online clarification, secure bid submission, technical and commercial evaluation, award recommendation, and purchase order creation.

Configurable workflows allow organizations to maintain their existing approval structures without having to redesign their procurement processes. Integration capabilities also enable the platform to exchange information with internal enterprise systems and approved external procurement platforms.

Online payment functionality can be used for tender purchases, while procurement teams have access to real-time dashboards, reports, and analytical information for monitoring tender activity and supplier participation.
